A Commitment to Community: Eagle’s First Ever Day of Service

John Lehner, President and CEO Eagle Investment Systems

Today, over 140 Eagle employees from Massachusetts, Maine and Connecticut will participate in Eagle’s first ever Day of Service. I am proud to be a part of an organization where such a large number of employees have committed their time to helping others and I am even more delighted to share that the genesis of this day came from our own employees voicing a desire to give back to the community in the aftermath of recent tragic events in Boston and Connecticut and in remembrance of September 11. During the Day of Service, Eagle employees will be rolling up their sleeves to help out at a variety of local charities around New England including:

  • Massachusetts: Cradles to Crayons, Greater Boston Food Bank, More than Words, Generations Incorporated and Rediscovery
  • Connecticut: Plant a Row for the Hungry
  • Maine: Preble Street

Eagle has grown and succeeded through the passion and innovation of our smart and committed people, and this is a proud moment for our organization. Eagle has always believed in supporting the communities in which we live and work, and as a company we have participated in numerous charitable endeavors. It is in that spirit that we are pleased to support our employees in giving back with this being the first of many Eagle Days of Service. I am thankful to our staff for volunteering their time today and ensuring this important new tradition was initiated with great success.
